Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is pleased to welcome Hank Yost, World War II reenactor, to the Matthewis Persen House Museum on Saturday, June 4, for a special presentation.  The Matthewis Persen House is located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free and all are welcome.

On Saturday, June 4, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, join World War II reenactor Hank Yost for a special D-Day presentation.  D-Day—June 6, 1944—the biggest amphibious landing in history, assaults Hitler’s Atlantic Fortress. Over 156,000 Allied forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. Mr. Yost will discuss various aspects of the troops, tactics and weapons as well as what was happening on the home front and the changes in US society.  Everyone is welcome to join in the discussions taking place throughout the day.

“Hank Yost brings history to life, and we couldn’t be happier to have him at the Persen House,” said County Clerk Nina Postupack.  “His dedication to accurately portraying the people and events around this momentous day in history is a valuable resource for the whole community.”
