One of the goals of the Persen House is to involve students in the history of our community. To help fulfill this goal, student artwork and exhibits are often on display throughout the museum. We encourage educators to allow the House to inspire their students and participate in their education through their art.
Hosting an exhibit at the Persen House brings students and families together outside of the school environment. It allows them to interpret their art in a new setting and experience the connection between art and history. It also invites the public to view history through the eyes of our students.
Over the past few years, the Persen House has hosted exhibits from several of the elementary schools in the Kingston City School District, as well as SUNY New Paltz. We look forward to more exhibits in the future. If your school or class is interested in having an exhibit at the Persen House, please Contact Us for more information.
