On file in the Ulster County Clerk's Office are all civil and criminal records from the Supreme and County Courts in Ulster County. Copies of civil actions, criminal actions, judgments, liens and business filings are available to the public if they are not sealed documents. The following procedure can be followed to obtain copies:
- Online: View from July 1987 to current court records online with Search IQS.
- By Mail: Write a letter with the index number, filing date, names of the parties involved and documents you wish copied. Please include your name and mailing address, along with payment for the associated fees. (See Fee Schedule) Copies will be mailed back to you at the address indicated on the request. - In Person: Requests for copies can be made in person at 244 Fair Street in the 2nd floor Records Room. Associated fees must be paid when copies are made. (See Fee Schedule) There are public terminals available for searching in the County Clerk’s 2nd floor Record Room.
- By Phone: Telephone requests to (845) 340-3288 are for informational purposes only. Requests for copies must be made via Search IQS, though the mail, or in person and include payment of the associated fees.
