Ulster County Clerk Announces My Kingston Kids “Photography Now!” Exhibit at the Matthewis Persen House Museum
Kingston, NY - Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is pleased to welcome the MyKingstonKids “Photography Now!” youth program to the Matthewis Persen House Museum on Saturday, August 19th from 11:00 am to 4:00pm. The house is located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Join the talented students from the MyKingstonKids “Photography Now!” program as they showcase their work. The students’ photographs will remain on display at the Persen House through the end of August. “Photography Now!” is an 8-week beginner photo program for youth ages 13-18. Students learn the history of photography, artistic and technical application of the medium to directly working with professional DSLR cameras to working with cellphones. The program is taught by local professional photographer Star Nigro and hosted by the Ulster County Restorative Justice & Community Empowerment Center.

"We encourage everyone to stop in and admire the impressive work of these talented young photographers, and in doing so, support our youth while bridging the worlds of art and history.”
