Judgments, mechanic's liens, Uniform Commercial Code, New York State Tax Warrants and Federal Tax liens are filed in the Ulster County Clerk’s Office and can be searched in our office or can be searched on line at https://www.searchiqs.com/NYULS/Login.aspx.
As required by New York State Law, judgments and liens are permanent records accessible by the public. As these documents and filings are indexed by name, you must know and search by a debtor's last name. Each judgment or lien entry will contain information about the original filing as well as any subsequent filings such as satisfactions and renewals. Note that judgments are enforceable against real property for ten years and twenty years against personal property.
