ULSTER COUNTY CLERK ANNOUNCES ROAD TEST SITE TO MOVE FROM DIETZ STADIUM

Kingston, NY – Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack announces that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Road Test Site will move from Dietz Stadium to Cornell Street at Tremper Avenue in Kingston.  This change will take effect on Monday, March 6, 2023.

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will be relocating the Kingston Road Test Site from its current location on the eastern side of Dietz Stadium in uptown Kingston. The move is necessitated by the upcoming renovation of the stadium. The new location for all standard class D (Driver) and M (Motorcycle) road tests will be on Cornell Street at Tremper Avenue, in midtown Kingston, near the main Kingston Post Office. This relocation is expected to provide a more convenient and accessible location for test-takers.

"A top priority of the County Clerk’s Office is to ensure that residents have access to the services they need,” stated County Clerk Nina Postupack. “With the upcoming renovation of Dietz Stadium, it was necessary to relocate the Kingston Road Test Site to a new, more accessible location. We are committed to ensuring that the Department of Motor Vehicles provides the best possible service to the people of Ulster County, and this relocation is a step in the right direction."
