The Ulster County Clerk's Office files all criminal proceedings from the Supreme and County Courts in Ulster County.  Only felony cases are filed with the our office. All town, city and village proceedings are filed in the local court.

Please note that some criminal records are sealed by the New York State Criminal Procedure Law, Civil Rights Law, or any other applicable statutes and access may be limited or denied. Sealed documents are only available to the attorney of record or the defendant otherwise a court order must be obtained. It is helpful if a filing date and index number is available when searching the records.

Certificate of Convictions can be obtained from our office. A request form must be completed (Criminal Certificate of Disposition Request Form). The fee for a Certificate of Conviction is $5.00. You may send the request form into the Ulster County Clerk's Office with the required fee. Processing time is approximately 7 to 10 days.
