Ulster County Image Reformatting Protocol
Ulster County developed an “ImageReformatting Protocol” which establishes best imaging practices to ensure the accuracy, usability,longevity and legal acceptance of digitized documents created and used by all CountyDepartments and Offices. It applies to all records created, received and maintained by theCounty. The protocol was created and approved in 2016 by the County Clerk, Director ofInformation Services, and County Attorney.
The “Ulster County Imaging Reformatting Protocol” meets or exceeds the requirements stated inthe State Archives’ Digital Imaging Guidelines (2022), as well as the Office of Court AdministrationRecords Management Policy #9.0 – Guidelines for Electronic Records.
