Ulster County Clerk’s Office Announces World War II V-J Day Presentation at Matthewis Persen House Museum

Kingston, NY – Acting Ulster County Clerk Taylor Bruck is pleased to welcome Hank Yost, historical reenactor, to the Matthewis Persen House Museum on Saturday, August 31st for a special presentation.  The museum is conveniently located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.

ULSTER COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN PEACE TREE PLANTING AND RENEWAL OF 1665 PEACE TREATY WITH LOCAL NATIVE AMERICAN DESCENDANTS

Kingston, NY – Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is honored to announce a ceremonial Peace Tree Planting and an historic Peace Treaty Renewal between Ulster County and the Ramapough Lenape Nation, renewing the 1665 Richard Nicolls Esopus Peace Treaty which is part of the Ulster County Clerk’s Archival Collection.  The renewal will take place Friday, August 5^th at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston.

Kingston, NY – Acting Ulster County Clerk Taylor Bruck is pleased to announce that on Saturday, September 14, the Red Feather Singers and Drummers, members of the Association of Native Americans (ANA) of the Mid-Hudson Valley, will host an event at the Matthewis Persen House located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Kingston, NY – Acting Ulster County Clerk Taylor Bruck is pleased to announce that on Saturday, September 7th the Wiltwyck Quilters Guild will present a craft demonstration and display at the Matthewis Persen House located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. The house will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
